Part of the evolution of my work, as I move more and more into space elements, and the dimensions beyond our world.
I can't tell you how strong the impact is every time I visit the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington DC, and I had to bring it out, as it is still an open wound for many. I used orange drips to symbolize the defoliant chemical the US used to clear the jungle, killing and infecting millions blindly, ruining the soil and even affecting their own soldiers. A dark page in their history, as any war that has been waged! The frame is made of colored US dollars bills, the top part has been flushed with Agent Orange while the bottom has been topped with a collage of Chinese Characters Newspapers, reflecting the war against communism. Then I poured transparent resin over the collage.
Working on a project where I want to paint the re-incarnation of my dog in a different style, I tried this approach first to understand the geometric proportions of a character, and the essential lines in the composition. The Synthetic grass has been painted in black, and is part of my new series where synthetic grass comes in between the linen passe-partout and the frame.

There is a saying "Good players create their own luck" and surely it couldn't be more appropriate as it is all in our head. As observers, we are involved with the creation of our own reality. Reality could even be seen as a mental projection of our thoughts, therefor the universe a mental construction. So do we restrain our self within the confinement of our limitations or do we decide to expand our experience to a further realization of the self? How beautiful to be a dreamer. And even if I am alone in my fish bowl and it is absolutely wonderful to dream about that Big Golden Fish floating in its inner peace..In the center of Manhattan, at Pershing Square, the sea drops me on a shore of blues, with the moon to remind me that yes, I am free to be. To be a dreamer..I'm out of my bowl to expand my vision and to have fun.So expect more to come coz I am flying a rocket and I see no landing in sight!Sure, Love is AllAnd it's all there....
Homage to my beloved dog, up there in the stars, sure, she's always been a Superstar. I even made a logo for her, LB. Fairwell sweet Laly, in Eternity You Shine.
Yes Baby I am flying While the wind is hurling Outside the fishbowl The trees begin to howl
Dancing destiny wheel You know how I feel It might be too late To land that fate
Is Life just a joke Or even a puff of smoke Hovering my sight Under a moon so bright
You're still here in me How this could ever be?
I know you are there, not next to me but does distance have any meaning anymore? The shine in your eyes, brighter than the stars, the sound of your voice over the Moon, so beautifully wrapped.. We talked, we chat, it goes much further than words... You got into my emotions, we share feelings and you managed into my secret garden, you keep visiting me, and it seems that I am floating above reality.. Is this real? or am I just dreaming? Does the course of life have a lesser meaning? Even though I can still hear the waves roll on the sand I am looking at the stars and the music of the sea brings you in sight, it's the magic of these days, the magic of your words, it's bigger than you think, it goes beyond my reach, it's everywhere. And it keeps growing... Really happy that finally my work takes over the confinement of the canvas and extends through the outside world. It brings another dimension in sight and opens a bigger door of perspective.I moved into a new house recently and decided to make a small garden in my kitchen with a light blue wall as the back ground. A touch of a more natural setting inside my life ( I spend quite some time in the kitchen as I love cooking). The synthetic grass I use was some left over from the kitchen and was rolled in a corner, so I decided to use it for art and it really brings a nice touch around the painting, a more natural feeling in the house, a bit of green grass, it's a more gentle feeling, still completely a full part of the artwork, I have to say I Love it. This new house really felt like a new start in my Life and yes it really seems that it is ! An expansion of the previous work, Thriving, growing, expanding, oh boy what a positive step !
As the genocide and invasion of Tibet keeps unfolding, the media still being silent, and nobody seeming to care, I think it was time for me to bring light on what is happening to this peaceful people, their culture, their traditions. As artist we have a voice and I am willing to use it more and more to express my opinion about facts in this world as the mainstream media is more than ever corrupted and biased. Even in the darkest times, good deeds cannot be defeated. The idea, the pure realm of compassion is no reach for the lowers energies of the greedy. Life itself cannot be touched as it goes beyond time, beyond space, it is the source of unconditional love, seeding through the universe, inside us, all. The gravity of the material world is no match for the wide open horizon of spirituality, where kindness and compassion walk hand in hand. So I bring you to Life, in this mad world, as I am confident that Light you will find and Peace you will bring..
Reflecting on today's society, how the sugar industry and the fast food have destroyed our health, how religion seems so much outdated, eroding the core value of our society and drifting into superficiality . The importance of education, the place of the mother by her child and me painting already my next painting with my blue dog Laly, loyal as always.
