Ewao Kagoshima: Obstacle

“Obstacle” is a Surrealist painting by E’wao Kagoshima that portrays a background of purple, white and green tones, with a singular centerpiece that resembles a giant monolith that could be rock or cut from stone. Upon closer examination it resembles a severed, upside-down groin, of an ambiguous gender. In the center there is a human-like figure (perhaps a skeleton) that is either standing on its head or hanging.

"My painting is the only way to survive the brush work painting"
